Gas-turbine technologies for transport, defense and energy industries
The GTA-8RM gas-turbine power package developed by NPO Saturn has successfully passed acceptance tests and has been recommended for wide application at industrial facilities and utility services.
January 30, 2008, Rybinsk. The acceptance interdepartmental tests of the GTA-8RM gas-turbine power package prototype developed by Saturn–Gas Turbines, based on the Saturn GTD-8RM engine have been completed. The tests were performed at the GTES-12 gas-turbine power plant at NPO Saturn in Rybinsk.
The SaM146 has completed the first stage of tests on the flying test bed.
In the Gromov Flight Test Institute near Moscow, the first test phase of the SaM146 on the IL-76LL flying test bed has been completed. In the course of tests, the required amount of flights have been performed and engine operating conditions have been practiced, enabling carrying out the SaM146 engine testing on the SuperJet-100 aircraft. Currently preparation of the first SuperJet-100 flight prototype powered with two SaM146 engines for flight tests in Komsomolsk-on-Amur is in full swing.
NPO Saturn will supply six high-capacity GTD-110 gas-turbine engines to TGK-6 for construction of the thermal power station in Nizhni Novgorod.
January 21, 2008, Rybinsk. Saturn-Gas Turbines concluded an agreement with Territorial Generating Company No.6 for production and delivery of six GTD-110 gas-turbine engines with the unit capacity of 110 MW, and part of auxiliary equipment for construction of three steam-and-gas units of Nizhegorodskaya Thermal Power Station, with the total heat capacity of 840 Gcal/h and electric capacity up to 975 MW. The equipment will be delivered in 2011. The contract price is 3 billion 2 million rubles.
