January 30, 2008, Rybinsk. The acceptance interdepartmental tests of the GTA-8RM gas-turbine power package prototype developed by Saturn–Gas Turbines, based on the Saturn GTD-8RM engine have been completed. The tests were performed at the GTES-12 gas-turbine power plant at NPO Saturn in Rybinsk.
Based on the results of tests, the Acceptance Interdepartmental Committee confirmed compliance of the GTA-8RM gas-turbine power package prototype performance data with the specification and design documentation requirements. The Committee was formed by representatives of Neftegaz – Expertiza, VNIIGAZ, AK Yakutsk’energo, Department of technological and ecological inspection of Rostekhnadzor in Yaroslavl region, Rybinsk administration, NPO Saturn, Saturn–Gas Turbines.
The GTA-8RM gas-turbine power packages (electrical capacity of 8 MW, thermal capacity of 17,1 Gcal) are recommended for production at Saturn–Gas Turbines and further application to their direct function, i.e. power supply of the oil-and-gas companies’ installations, power-consuming industrial enterprises, housing and communal services.
