May, 17th 2011, Rybinsk. – During the third convention of all-Russian non-profit organization Russia’s machine builders union held in Tolyatti, NPO Saturn CEO, chairman of the Yaroslavl regional branch of Russia’s machine builders union Ilya Fedorov was elected to the Central council of the Russia’s machine builders union organization as well as to the Union’s convention secretariat.
303 delegates from different regions of Russia and 335 authorized representatives of the country’s machine-building industry took part in the working session of this machine builders union’s Convention. The representation of NPO Saturn in the convention of Russia’s machine builders union was quite meaningful. NPO Saturn CEO Ilya Fedorov, the head of the Yaroslavl regional branch of Russia’s machine builders union, deputy chairman of the Yaroslavl regional branch of Russia’s machine builders union, head of NPO Saturn human resources development division Yuri Pautov, general director of Saturn-Tooling plant Aleksandr Treshkin.
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin took active part in this event equally important to the machine-building industry and to the entire country. The union of machine builders supported the initiative of the Prime Minister to establish an All-Russian people’s front.
The Convention attendees discussed the items of development of Russian machine building in the post-crisis period and ways of solving tasks related to technological and infrastructural reengineering of today’s industry.
Among other discussed topics the most vital were questions of modernization and increasing the competitiveness of Russian economy and the questions of building a new innovation-driven generation of Russia’s future engineers and technicians.
