February, 1st 2012, Rybinsk. – Starting from February, 1st 2012 the employees of NPO Saturn working at the company’s main industrial site in Rybinsk are given a discount when buying a combo meal during their corporate lunch, as long as it is catered by the NPO Saturn catering service. The price of one combo meal offered at the company’s cafeterias has been set at sixty rubles. The discounted price of one combo meal will be thirty rubles upon presenting an employee’s corporate discount card.
The proponents of this social initiative anticipate that the launch of this new hot meal program will quadruple the number of those who have lunch in the NPO Saturn corporate cafeterias – up to six thousand people. The reduced price of a combo meal will not entail any decrease of its nutritional value; the lunch ingredients will be as calorific as possible. In order to ensure high-quality catering of the increased flow of those coming to corporate lunch, the company has reopened two cafeterias that were no longer in use, hired new personnel, installed new high-tech processing equipment and introduced an electronic lunch accounting system.
This social project is the logical continuation of the “Saturn corporate discount card” program introduced by the company in October 2011. The idea pursued by the program is to entitle the employees working at the Saturn main industrial site in Rybinsk to a 3 to 10 percent discount provided by a vast array of local companies, such as: grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, travel agencies, fitness clubs, skills development schools for kids, beauty salons, etc. To date NPO Saturn has already signed the necessary contracts with more than forty local companies. The list of partners of this social program will only increase; right now the company is in active negotiations with another thirty companies. At present the discount program that was originally intended for external partners only, spans the network of the company’s corporate cafeterias while the discount has been increased to fifty percent.
Last year NPO Saturn launched several social initiatives simultaneously. They include – the housing program unprecedented in the Russian aerospace industry: new apartments – to the best employees. To date 70 families have already received the keys from the new apartments built at the expense of NPO Saturn. The apartments are sold at their face value on an interest-free basis with a payment term of up to 15 years and without any down payment. The company plans to continue building new houses for its employees. Including, among others, the beginning of a detached housing construction project.
Despite the uneasy economic period, NPO Saturn continues implementing a well though-out social policy incorporating welfare, housing accommodation, health programs for its employees, child birth benefits, summer recreational activities for the employees’ children as well as support of athletic, youth and veteran events.
