December 27, 2013, Rybinsk. - Signature of an Investment agreement between ROSNANO (OJSC), Inter RAO (OJSC), NPO Saturn (OJSC) and NP TsIET dedicated to an investment project of creating a Russian high-power gas turbine GTE-110M engine with the application of nanotechnologies took place in Moscow.
The GTE-110M engineering project is fully compliant with the “Electrical power engineering and machinery” subprogram of the “Industry development and enhancement of its competitiveness” state program approved by the Government of the Russian Federation aimed at supporting Russian gas turbine machinery manufacturers. The project implementation timeframe spans 2014-2017. The total project budget has amounted to approximately 2.5 billion rubles.
The GTE-110M is a new-generation Russian high-power gas turbine engine. The GTE-110M is installed at electric power generation sites as the core of steam-to-gas and electric power plants in the power range of 110 - 500 megawatts and equally serves as a replacement capacity in the process of technical re-equipment of the combined-cycle installations having used up their physical life in service.
To date NPO Saturn is the only Russian manufacturer of high-power gas turbine engines (exceeding 60 megawatts) equipping electric power generation sites.
