August 7, 2015, Rybinsk. - The results of the company’s operations in July and during the seven months of 2015 were reviewed and received a positive appraisal at the working meeting of the governor of the Yaroslavl Region Sergey Yastrebov with Victor Polyakov, NPO Saturn CEO taking place at the regional administration.
NPO Saturn is successfully working towards the implementation of its commercial contractual obligations as well as those of the state defense order. The company has finished the first seven months of the year with net profit. The production and sales volumes over the seven months of 2015 have amounted to 112,4 % and 116 % respectively versus the planned budget figures initially foreseen for that period.
Commenting on the meeting results, Victor Polyakov noted: “We really want this year to be successful for our company and we will do all we can to make it a reality; at the same time there many external factors impacting our operations, so we prefer staying cautions optimists. We have quite a significant volume of the state defense order and I do not envisage any risk of failing to cope with it. Besides, we are working at the fulfillment of our commercial contracts. The growth of production and sales volumes this year is forecast at 17-18 percent compared to 2014, the same growth dynamics being expected following the results of 2016. The number of employees remains stable, we do not plan any cutting of staff; the personnel already employed are fully loaded with work.”
In the course of the meeting the parties also touched upon the results of the visit to NPO Saturn of the plenipotentiary representative of the president of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District Alexander Beglov, which have been considered as positive and also the questions related to the agreement in the field of socioeconomic collaboration between the administration of the Yaroslavl Region and NPO Saturn and the company’s upcoming 100th anniversary.
The meetings between the region’s leader and the head of NPO Saturn are becoming regular. Sergey Yastrebov confirmed his attendance of the MAKS 2015 air show. The governor will visit the exhibition booth of United Engine Corporation, where NPO Saturn will showcase its latest developments, and will take part in a roundtable discussion entitled “High-tech business and the technical university. The energy of a partnership” on the topic “Looking into the future” dedicated to the prospects of development of the high-tech business co-organized by NPO Saturn.
The NPO Saturn Research and Production Association (OJSC) is an engine-manufacturing company specialized in the design and development, production, and after-market support of gas turbine engines for military and commercial aviation, naval ships, and power-generating plants and gas-pumping units.
