October 13, 2015, Rybinsk. - Working in conjunction in the frame of preparing engineering staff, NPO Saturn and P.A. Solovev Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University (RSATU) carry out both the long-term educational programs for contracted undergraduate students, postgraduate students and Ph.D’s and the short-term qualification enhancement programs and new trainings for the company’s employees.
According to NPO Saturn human resources director Dmitriy Barvinok, “this year the university has well fulfilled its obligation in terms of technical students enrollment. Among those who qualified for scholarship are the high-school graduates having scored over 60 points during the Unified State Exam (USE) in math and physics as well as those who graduated with honors. We hope that these young people will demonstrate good results in the course of their higher education journey and, as a result, we will be glad to welcome highly-qualified engineers fully meeting the NPO Saturn professional requirements.
As part of the 2015/2016 engineering staff qualification enhancement program, it is envisaged to train the NPO Saturn employees in the fields of knowledge prioritized for the company’s operations on the premises of the RSATU. What’s meant by that are the following training courses: “3D modeling, design and computations of low-emission combustion chambers of gas turbine engines”, “Technology of virtual design and testing of aviation and marine gas turbine engines under the state import substitution program”, “Automation and robotization of the production of parts for gas turbine engines”, “The use of project management in aerospace engineering” and “Program and project management based on the international PMBоK standard in aerospace engineering”. Each of the training courses incorporates lectures and practical sessions comprising from 112 to 160 hours. Subject matter exams will be administered extramurally whereas each trainee will have to prepare and defend a graduate work and will be awarded a legal certificate of the qualification enhancement. For those who would have demonstrated excellent results, there is a provision of a 5-day internship program in Russian and international research engineering centers.
In August 2015 the P.A. Solovev Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University won the open public competition of receiving government support for the programs of developing the system of preparing the personnel for the companies in Russia’s defense-industrial complex. Such state program of additional vocational training for students was dubbed “The new employees for the defense-industrial complex”. In September the company signed a contract for targeted training of students to be subsequently hired by NPO Saturn under eight programs of additional vocational learning in the fields which are the most in-demand with present-day Saturn. In the frame of the said program over the period of 2015-2017 25 students will receive additional knowledge and skills requested by NPO Saturn and after graduation will be able to use them in their daily work in the company.
