March 26, 2015, Rybinsk. - During a dedicated section titled “The forms and types of government support of the small- and medium-sized businesses in the Yaroslavl Region” organized under the aegis of the second international technological forum in Rybinsk, the parties reviewed the topical issues the small- and medium-sized business is faced with on a daily basis.

6 keynote reports were presented during the section. The participants shared about the development of the small- and mid-sized companies, the activity of the office of the Authorized representative for the defense of the entrepreneurs’ rights and discussed the functioning of the Yaroslavl regional business incubator, a state organization operating in the region. The section also showcased the operation of the Fund for supporting the small- and medium-sized companies, the Euro-Info-Correspondent Center and the credit-guarantee mechanisms rendering support to the small companies dealing with the industrial complex.

The section moderator Galina Krokhmal, chair of the committee for supporting the entrepreneurial activity in the innovative policy department of the Yaroslavl regional government noted as follows “nowadays, the small- and medium-sized entrepreneurs play an important role in the socioeconomic development of the Yaroslavl Region. They are present virtually in every branch of the region’s economy. According to the available data, the non-production sector is still more appealing to the SMB than the economy’s real sector. Such regional repartition of the small and medium businesses is caused by the lack of their own financial resources, the infrastructure’s underdevelopment, the shortage of highly-qualified personnel and the low industrial activity of the small business in general. With the colleagues we did a brainstorming on how to lower the impact of these factors on the SMB. Through common effort, we will be creating incentives for the small businesses to deliver products and render services as outsourcers to the industrial customers.”
