On November 8, 2015, during the last day of the final round of the prestigious competition “The NPO Saturn best young employee 2015” the judges came up with their verdict. The title of the best young employee of NPO Saturn in 2015 went to Nikolay Shumilov, head of operations at workshop 40. The second place was won by Vladimir Syrov, head of engineering department at workshop 7. The prestigious “bronze medal” went to Igor Lysenko, a design engineer representing the NPO Saturn turbines design department.
The competition finals were taking place at the Spasskoe Park Hotel from 6 to 8 November. Over three days, fifteen finalists, who had qualified based on the results of the first round of the competition (a test of mental and physical abilities), were fighting to demonstrate their mastery, competence, talents and intellect through a presentation “What I represent for NPO Saturn”, wrote a “Personal development 5-year plan” and competed in intellectual and business games.
The winner was determined based on the results of a presentation of their leader by the team, a contest of surprises called “The situation” and presentation of a project dedicated to the upcoming centennial anniversary of NPO Saturn.
76 applications to participate in the competition were originally received by the event organizers. For the first time representatives of Saturn’s Saint-Petersburg design and engineering branch took part in the competition.
The young engineers were presented with awards by Victor Polyakov, NPO Saturn chief executive officer, during the solemn awards ceremony.
We congratulate this year’s competition participants wishing them further professional success!
