The participants of the academic program and debate "Aviation of the Future" introduced the development concept for aviation of the future to Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, during the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS) in Sochi. Young employees of United Engine Corporation (a Rostec Corporation Company) were among the project developers.
The "Aviation of the Future" program became a platform for young specialists of UEC, UAC, Russian Helicopters as well as for students of specialized Russian and foreign universities (Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology etc), where they could discuss and gain understanding about innovative technologies and advanced projects in the world aviation industry. UEC was a participant and one of the initiators of the program. Altogether more than 300 people from Russia, China, India, Iran, European and other countries were involved in the work of "Aviation of the Future".
20 most active participants, including foreign guests of the Festival, were members of the group working at the formation of the Aviation of the Future concept.
"The basis for the concept presented by our team is the confidence that aviation industry development will be determined by the following key factors: Engineering – development by applying artificial intelligence; Manufacturing – flexible, additive manufacture allowing fast release of sophisticated scientific products; Concept – new conceptual designs of aeronautical products, giving an opportunity to solve different tasks; Infrastructure – air space and infrastructure organization by applying automated control systems", - says Valentin Savin
, Chief Specialist of the UEC Project Office, who participated in the development of the concept.
"A great deal of attention in UEC is paid to the attraction of talented young people to the industry and their development inside the company, – said Yulia Karpenko
, Head of UEC Corporate University. – Every year we hold a lot of events aimed at the achievement of these targets, for example, the annual forum of a youth employee pool "Engines of the Future" the objective of which is to make young specialists familiar with new tendencies in engine building and to involve them in advanced projects oriented to the implementation of the corporation’s strategy. This year the World Festival of Youth and Students has taken place in Russia, and it gave an opportunity to transform the format of the forum "Engines of the Future": together with the partners there was created a unique platform for the communication of young specialists from three corporations and universities – the educational stream "Aviation of the Future" which facilitated the attraction of leading world specialists of aviation industry".
