Dmitry Rogozin handed out State awards to UEC-Saturn employees

December 06, 2017, Rybinsk. Following decrees and an executive order of the President of the Russian Federation 22 employees of UEC-Saturn were awarded State awards, an Honorary Diploma and Notes of Gratitude of the RF President. Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Chairman of Military Industrial Committee Collegium of the RF, handed out the awards in a formal manner in the presence of Dmitry Mironov, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region. The awarding ceremony was held on December 6, 2017 in the Government House of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
“Today, we are rewarding distinguished colleagues from the Yaroslavl Region for the  successful completion of activities aimed at the creation of maritime gas turbine industry at UEC-Saturn, - stated Dmitry Rogozin opening a meeting of the Military Industrial Committee Colleagium. - There are people of different occupations among the ones who were awarded  State awards. They are managers and those who design new hardware products, who implement new solutions". According to the Deputy VP, the enterprise’s employees have always been were always notable for their professional qualification allowing them to produce high-accuracy unique products.

Dmitry Mironov, Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, emphasized that "more than 20 awards to UEC-Saturn employees" is a good sign of recognition by the country of the enterprise’s merits and role in the improvement of the national defense capability and in the creation of new- generation equipment able to substitute foreign products".

Viktor Polyakov, Deputy General Director-Managing Director, PJSC UEC-Saturn, was granted a "For Maritime Merit" order for his participation in the revival of ship gas turbine engine production.

Medals of the Order of Merit for the Motherland, degree II, were granted to Ivan Belyaev, Deputy Managing Director for Industrial and Maritime GTE Programs, to Sergey Bochenkov and Aleksandr Vekhov, engine assembly fitters, to Oleg Vydumlev, Deputy Director of Economic and Finance Affairs - Head of Division, Economic Support of Product Lines and Research and Advanced Development, to Yuri Zasukhin, a puncher, to Sergey Ziborov, Deputy Purchasing and Logistics Director - Head of Auxiliary Production and Transport Division, to Vladimir Ivanov, Leading Specialist in Engines of Ground Application, to Ivan Kovalevsky, a turner-borer, to Ilya Konyukhov, Deputy Purchasing and Logistics Director, Planning and Financing, to Roman Lyubimov, Deputy General Designer for Tests, to Rashid Safin, an electroerosion cutter, to Aleksandr Chernousov, a numeric control machine setup man.

The Honorary Degree "Honored Engine-Builder of the Russian Federation" with an associated badge was granted to Alexey Zavarkin, Deputy Production Director for Planning, to Vladimir Delezhev and Aleksandr Zaitsev, machine and NC manipulator set up men, to Oleg Kutyugov, an engine assembly fitter. 

Yuri Pautov, First Deputy HR Director, was awarded a Diploma of the President of the Russian Federation. 

Notes of Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation were granted to Vladimir Aphonin, Chief Designer - Head of D30KU/KP/KU-154 and GTD6/8PM Engine Division, Boris Dyachenko, Deputy Managing Director for Security, Mikhail Sedov, Deputy Director, Small and Average-Power GTE Program - Head of Maritime GTE Department, and Alexey Sobolev, Deputy Managing Director- Director of Economic and Finance Affairs.

It is to be recalled that on April 25, 2017 Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, kick-started the production of ship gas turbine engines in Russia, a large-scale project within import substitution.  Tests of the gas turbine power unit М-35Р-1 equipped with the M-70FRU-2 engine for maritime programs were launched in the presence of the Head of State.
