February 12, 2018, Rybinsk. – PJSC “UEC-Saturn” (a part of United Engine Corporation a Rostec State Corporation company) and the regional technopark (science park) for children “Quantorium” have signed a cooperation agreement. The raise of the student’s interest to scientific and technical line of activity with the purpose of their further professional self-determination and dedication to the enterprise was determined as the basic interaction principle by the parties. The signing took place February 9, 2018 in the course of the Yaroslavl Region Governor Dmitry Mironov visit to “Quantorium”.
According to the Region Head, “the work with children is very important. Our region is an industrially developed one and we need smart engineers, designers and researchers. We have already started to involve the children in solving really adult tasks, we help our every talent. Nowadays the regional bank of talented youth includes the data of more than 65 thousand children. Many of them participated in the intellectual forums. Last year the 5th forum ‘ProjeKTOriYa’ was held in Yaroslavl. I hope that ‘Quantorium’ will become a good school and a launching pad for talented children”.
The Federal network of technoparks for children is being created in our country upon an initiative of President of Russia Vladimir Putin. “Quantorium” of the Yaroslavl Region was opened in Rybinsk on October 17, 2017. Here the programs of additional education for children will be implemented in five directions: aircraft technologies, energetics, robotechnics, IT-technologies and nano-technologies.
For almost four months of the technopark work, more than 100 quantorians were acquainted with the UEC-Saturn history and modern activities in the course of visits to the enterprise. Due to UEC-Saturn support, two teams from aeroquantum and energy-quant of Rybinsk “Quantorium” took part in the onsite tour of Russian scientific and engineering Olympiad “Quantoriad” hosted at “Skolkovo” Innovation Technopark. At the end of last year the PJSC UEC-Saturn Training Center specialists conducted Championship “Build your career in UEC” in physical science among the students of 9-11 forms on the basis of children’s technopark “Quantorium”. In January 2018, the UEC-Saturn representatives took part in defense of projects prepared by “Quantorium” students, awarding authors of the best projects.
Signing of the agreement between the technopark and the town forming company will enable to continue the active occupational guidance with a purpose of motivating the schoolchildren to enter the industry-specific schools graduating from which they can be employed at Rybinsk industrial enterprises as engineers or workers.
Alexey Sobolev, Deputy Managing Director - Chief Financial Officer of NPO Saturn PJSC says: "We will continue our joint work. It is another link in forming and development of the technical intellectual class, which is necessary for the city. New field trips and seminars, conferences and forums, festivals and round tables, contests and real research projects are among our plans. The enterprise departments have prepared the topics; they are already developing the technical tasks for the new quantorians’ projects realization of which will be demanded by actual production”.
Rybinsk Instrument Plant, SatIZ, Upper Volga GES cascade, NPO “Krista”, JSC “Vympel Shipbuilding Plant”, “Luch” Design Bureau intent to sign similar cooperation agreements with the Technopark for children.
Considering the occupational guidance as one of the elements of the personnel training system, UEC-Saturn carries out annual field trips, provides support to school museums, and is involved in the organization of conferences and Olympiads on mathematics, physics, drawing, as well as contests and thematic lessons. The major organizational tasks of the UEC-Saturn occupational guidance is creation of integral successive and continuous work with youth by consolidation of schools, institutions for further vocational education, professional education establishments and the employer. The Occupational Guidance Council comprising representatives of the company’s main departments, Council of Veterans and Council of Youth develops ideology and comprehensive approach to planning of this area of activity.
