PJSC “UEC-Saturn” in Rybinsk (part of United Engine Corporation, a Rostec State Corporation company) was honoured with the RF Government Quality Prize of 2018 for quality of products and services and introduction of highly-efficient quality management methods.
The awarding ceremony took place in the House of the RF Government on December 20, 2018. The prize was presented to Alexander Artyukhov

, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Between the 18th and the 22nd of December 2018 a commission of experts surveyed UES-Saturn as a contestant for the prize. The visit program of the commission comprised meetings with the top management and the chiefs of departments to be surveyed, a detailed study of the company’s activities and obtained results on site, a visit to social facilities, public organizations and city authorities.

The Russian Federation Government Quality Prize was instituted through Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No.423 dated April 12, 1996. It is annually awarded to organizations for outstanding results in terms of quality of products and services, their safety as well as introduction of efficient quality management methods. This prize is the most prestigious award that can now be granted in Russia to organizations staking on quality as an important factor of competitive struggle on the domestic and international markets. The prize covers the company’s whole activity and consists of the following nine criteria: the leading role of management; an organization’s policy and strategy; staff; partnership and resources; processes, products and services; customers’ satisfaction with the quality of products and services; satisfaction of staff; an organization’s impact on society; results of an organization’s work.
The quality management system at UEC-Saturn was certified in 1996 when the company became the first of Russian enterprises to obtain a certificate from Bureau Veritas for conformity to ISO 9000 requirements.
UEC-Saturn is an innovative company intensively mastering advanced technologies: application of polymer and ceramic composites, additive and supercomputer technologies etc. The company is carrying out quite a number of large-scale projects. Thus, the SaM146 power plant system for the commercial aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100 is manufactured in Rybinsk in partnership with Safran Aircraft Engines. UEC-Saturn is actively developing the line of business related to industrial engines, is involved in the program of the state-of-the-art engine PD-14 for the MC-21 airliner, is implementing marine gas-turbine engine programs etc.PJSC "UEC-Saturn" is an engine-manufacturing company specialized in the design and development, production and after-market support of gas turbine engines for commercial aviation, power generation and gas compression as well as for ships and vessels.
