The opening ceremony of the rally was embellished by stunt actors who accompanied the demonstration of the participating teams and represented theatrical characters on stilts, by a spectacular light show and festive fireworks. The theatrical subject matter let the entire creative part of the rally become emotionally vivid. During the team introduction contest “The Theatre Begins with a Coat Rack” the jury and the spectators found out what each participating team began with. In “The Theatrical Remake” well-known plays were performed in a manner reflecting the plant’s topics. And in the contest of parodies artists of the rally starred in comedies, vaudevilles and slapsticks. Representatives of the company’s management were also open to transformation: two videos produced in advance within the walls of the Rybinsk Drama Theatre with the participation of permanent jury members anticipated the opening of creative programs. It is remarkable that the honorary member of the jury in “The Theatrical Remake” was Vladimir Kalyukin, an actor of the Rybinsk Drama Theatre.
Sport battles were launched in a skiing trip, more than 3 hours long. The organizers called it “Fixpriсe: all at five” for fun. The teams chose equipment for trip tests themselves to be ready to find a way out of each complicated situation by their own efforts. However, if the skiers happened to miss some equipment, the referees suggested that the athletes should buy that equipment from them at a price of five penalty minutes added to the overall distance time. Besides, the teams made snow figures, using paints and natural material, played timbrelball, handball and with flying plates, competed in tug-of-war and an intellectual game, took part in a fishing competition on the Volga River till 5.30 am! They strived for victory in sprint biathlon relay races, in orienting and a tourist relay. In captains’ contest the team leaders also proved able to demonstrate their personal skills in, for example, assembling a radio set and their craft of team management.
