March 26, 2019, Rybinsk. Honoring the participants of "Build your career in UEC" championship took place in UEC-Saturn (a company of United Engine Corporation, Rostec State Corporation)
In December 2018, under the aegis of United Engine Corporation, UEC-Saturn’s Training Centre organized and held a championship called "Build Your Career in UEC" among students of 9th to 11th grades of Rybinsk schools in the format of an on-line simulator in physics. 155 students from 12 educational institutions of Rybinsk - lyceum No. 2, secondary schools No. 28, 23, 5, 15, 10, 3, 32, 30, 27, 20, 12 - took part in the competition on the basis of children’s technopark Quantorium. A total of 17 games were conducted by UEC-Saturn’s Training Centre.

The competitions in Rybinsk became a part of the large-scale vocational-oriented championship organized by UEC Corporate University for the fourth time in the cities where the Corporation enterprises are located. The objective of the event is to offer students an opportunity to check their knowledge in physics, to apply it in practice; to draw the attention of students and their parents to UEC enterprises, to heighten interest in professions demanded in the field of gas-turbine-building.

The tasks in physics comprising four blocks - "Aircraft Engines", "Helicopter Engines", Marine Engines", "Gas-turbine Machines" - were prepared by Anna Fedorovna Shishkina, a teacher in Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU). The set of tasks appeared to be universal for the three grades, interesting and practically linked with the work of the engine holding enterprises. The simulator also included informational advertisements related to UEC spheres of activity and specialized educational institutions students could go to in the future.

Among the ninth-graders, the best results in the competitions held by UEC-Saturn’s Training Centre in Rybinsk were shown by Dmitry Smirnov (school No. 28, score 20), Sofia Bloshenko (school No. 28, score 19), Ivan Rzhanikov (school No. 12, score 18), Victor Kuznetsov (school No. 16, score 16), Darya Volkova (school No. 28, score 15).

Dmitry Smirnov: "Physics has become easy for me recently, so I made my mind to try participating in something completely new for me. I am interested in engine-building. My father works for UEC-Saturn; he quite often tells me about what he designs, about the enterprise.  I hope to follow the same path and to become an engineer."

Among the tenth- and eleventh-graders, the best results in the competitions held by UEC-Saturn’s Training Centre in Rybinsk were shown by Zakhar Kondratiev (school No. 30, 11th form, score 28), Valery Zgursky (school No. 30, 11th form, score 26), Maksim Shumilin, (school No. 20, 11th form, score 24), Gleb Ananiev (school No. 28, 11th form, score 22), Aleksandr Kalinin (school No. 30, 11th form, score 22), Pavel Fokin (school No. 30, 10th form, score 22), Artem Sorokin (school No. 12, 10th form, score 21), Denis Kulakov (school No. 12, 10th form, score 20), Vitalina Smirnova (school No. 20, 10th form, score 20), Nikita Barinov (lyceum No. 2, 10th form, score 19).

It is worthy of note that Zakhar Kondratiev, an eleventh-grader of school No. 30, is in the UEC top ten students of his grade with the fourth line in the rating.

Zakhar Kondratiev: "I took part in the competition last year and decided to try my hand again - in rather interesting interactive tasks linked with the enterprise's subjects. In future I would like to enter a prestige university and to commit myself to Information Technologies."

Anyone could take part in the game, compete for the first place, for the right to gain a benefit of additional scores for entering a chosen institution of higher education. "At the close of the championship we questioned the participants what they were going to enter afterwards; and we sent official letters with requests to consider the competition results as an additional achievement to all the universities they had selected, - said Ekaterina Khvorova, a chief specialist of UEC Corporate University.  – We have already begun to receive positive feed-back from the universities".

According to Ekaterina Khvorova, a total of 987 Russian students from 85 educational organizations took part in the 4th Championship "Build Your Career in UEC". This year Rybinsk has represented itself with great dignity. Taking into account the championship organized by UEC-Gas Turbines, another Rybinsk enterprise of the Holding, two Rybinsk students made the top three across Russia (by taking the first and the third places) and four students made the top ten in Russia.
