April 04, 2019, Rybinsk. – Projects were reviewed by students receiving the training in nano-quantum, IT quantum and robo-quantum in children's technopark "Quantorium". There were representatives of Rybinsk enterprises including PJSC UEC-Saturn (a part of United Engine Corporation, a Rostec State Corporation company) in the expert team that estimated deliverables of students’ translated ideas."Thank you, students and outstanding tutors, for such interesting projects. I wish you every success. And we will support you on the part of real economy, i.e. manufacturing enterprises widely represented in the expert committee
, - pointed out Evgeny Alekseev
, IT Director, rewarding attendees of the meeting.
Projects public hearings are held in "Quantorium 76" every month. At such conferences, children of different age and level of knowledge present their reports for a definite period to the audience and receive expert assessment in terms of severity and further use of their preliminary studies.
For example, one of Quantorium's best students assembled 3D printer by himself; he made drawings of parts, cut them on a laser unit and made a print copy on 3d- printer.
Project researchers referred to as "Chips" found out how adverse this product is; they developed their own recipe of useful chips and treated the attendees to crisps potato based on their recipe.
In another project, the consumption of iodized bread as to increase iodine amount in the human body was proven to be useless by lab chemical testing. Bread variants, usual and iodized one, yield negative response for iodine qualitative identification. It is attributed to the fact that where the iodine exists, it is easily dissolved.
For breakfast - a sandwich with caviar made of water-melon, for lunch - chocolate-flavored beef. It is not fiction but usual molecular cuisine items; it is a new approach to meal cooking based on science given knowledge. These are routine dishes, however, in a new format; therefore, they are so useful as referred to in conclusion of the following project made by Quantorium students. Its attendees have not only shown theoretical learning but they also made an experiment in front of the audience, having cooked cherry-flavored caviar. Such molecular cuisine dish suited to expert committee members' taste.
One looks himself for laboratory chemical testing, another one - for robotization. For example, someone is addressing the possibility to use ultrasonic sensors or data visualizers with color and temperature sensors in design kit, or to master from scratch features of new more comprehensive design kit platform.
Experts' attention was brought to the assorting line developed by Quantorium students using computer vision technology. Plastic bottle caps are used as demonstration prototype for sorting . Determinable properties are color, defects, size. This project took the second place in "The Engineering project" category, in the "Machine-building" nomination at the 11th all-Russia Technological Festival PROFEST in Moscow. "Thirty years ago I attended software engineering club in this building. Today, I was lucky to be present at projects review
, - points out Oleg Semyonov
, Saturn's experimental plant Chief Metrologist . - I like children's fiery eyes; there is an experienced tutor behind each student. Thank you for it. Besides economic components of the projects indicated by many colleagues, during the presentation one would like to see a beacon - what project authors started with and what they set a course for"
Projects assessment by production specialists, consulting young engineers is an important element of learning activity. Experts acknowledge that every project review becomes more and more profound. We are positively impressed by projects review. No doubts, children are talented. One of multiple proposals is to propose to master tasks setting and to escalate projects economy. In terms of plans it is proposed to move to interdisciplinary researches.
